Designed by Hugo “Juice” Covarrubias Molina, this Air Jordan 3 channels the Legion Of Boom’s distinct colors of navy blue and gooey green, with the latter shade dropping down the ankle as a nod to the young boy’s nickname.

The shoe comes paired with gold-plated hangtags, which can also be used as a pendant on a necklace to represent his love for gold chains. More details are added on the inner tongue of the sneaker, which features woven patches to list the names of his heroes, including his mom, dad, and other names.

The other inner tongue is left black and mismatched to give the wearer a chance to write the names of their heroes. The transparent heel tabs feature “Juice” lettering, while the green dripping pattern is added to give a unique look to the shoe. The look is finished off with glow-in-the-dark laces.

Finally, a firm message of “It’s okay to be different” appears on the outsole — a powerful mantra that Hugo finds motivation when coping with his Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome condition.

I would put the Air Jordan 3 strictly in the casual category. While one could theoretically hoop in some retro Js, this is nowhere near ideal. I find walking in the Air Jordan 3 is ok, as long as you don’t overdo it. A few miles at a time is fine though.
