Description
The Jordan Brand is set to breathe new life into its acclaimed “Fear Pack” with the upcoming release of the Jordan Legacy 312 Low “Fear”, a revival and expansion of the original collection from 2013.
This release and its Air Jordan 3 counterpart pay homage to the Fear Pack’s hauntingly dark aesthetic.
This latest iteration of the Jordan Legacy 312 Low is drenched in a stark jet-black hue, covering its smooth leather upper, tongue, inner lining, and tread. This near-monochromatic look is boldly interrupted by crisp white laces, profile swooshes, and midsoles, creating a striking contrast that adds depth to the design.
The dark allure of the sneaker is further enhanced by its greyscale accents, featuring the iconic Elephant print mudguard and heel counter. Adding a pop of color to this gloomy ensemble is the bright orange Jumpman logo on the heel, accompanied by duo Nike insignias on the forefoot strap and tongue tab, elevating the overall aesthetic.
What is the story behind Jordan Legacy 312?
The 312 is a tribute to Chicago that’s equally inspired by MJ and today’s multi-faceted youth. Its name references the 312 area code of the city, as well as the shoe’s juxtaposition of the Air Jordan 1 and 3. “I wanted the Jordan Legacy 312 to have the sole of the Jordan 3, because to me, that shoe is the foundation of the brand”, Don explains. “The 1s and the 2s were Nikes first. The 3s were Jordans. That’s when the brand became the brand. I’ve always felt that the foundation of the brand is the 3, but it was built on the 1 first”.
