Description
Founded in 1997 by former pro skateboarder EunHyuk Lee, Kasina is renowned as a catalyst for street fashion in South Korea.
Collaborating with Nike on the Dunk, Kasina relays its story — from humble beginnings in Busan, South Korea’s second-largest city, to opening multiple doors in the country’s capital megalopolis, Seoul.
The two colorways of the Dunk Kasina both reference travel through Korea. The Neptune Green colorway explicitly pulls from the that lines the Gyeongbu Expressway, the main highway between Busan and Seoul. During the mid-’80s, the same period the Dunk was introduced, Seoul experienced a population boom. This growth, symbolized by travel across Korea’s highways, underpins the Kasina journey.
At the heel, the typical “NIKE” text is removed in favor of “BUSAN” on the left foot and “SEOUL” on the right — both, together, a nod to the personal roots of Kasina themselves.
Elsewhere, the hairy suede overlays are treated to a near jade-like finish while the tooling and leathers nearby contrast in a bright white tone.
These dye deep into the suedes at the toe cap, eye stay, counter, and the heel tab alongside, all distinct against the white tumbled leather backdrop and tongue as well as the mustard yellow check. Miniature swooshes then further brand at the toe while hang tags and heel embroideries etch with on-theme insignia.
Are dunks or SB dunks more comfortable?
Are Dunks Or SB Dunks More Comfortable? An older SB Dunk can be more comfortable than a regular (non-SB) Dunk. Modern Dunk and SB Dunk releases tend to be stiffer right out of the box. As such, modern regular Dunks are more accommodating than their SB counterparts
Dunk vs SB Dunk: What’s the Difference Between the Sneakers?
The most noticeable difference between the two sneakers are their tongues. On the Nike Dunk, you get a slim, mesh tongue. On the SB Dunk, the tongue has been beefed up to provide more cushion and protection. By being thicker, the tongue helps with the fit as well. It enables the sneaker to mold to your feet, preventing any slipping or wiggling. The tongue is held down with elastic straps which provide an added layer of lockdown. As a bonus, it allows you to slip the SB Dunk on and off without having to mess with finicky laces.

The Tiffany green is very attractive. The quality of chamois leather looks great. But it should be not easy to clean. The dunk low is comfortable. The crystal outsole is also good looking. The embroidery on the shoe heel looks nice. I’m happy to purchase it at present price.
