Nike Dunk Low LX “Year of the Dragon” Dusty Cactus FZ5065-111

SKU: FZ5065-111 Category: Tag:

Branded with “Just Do It” text on the tongue label, the sneaker is laden with Eastern influence. For starters, panels around the toe, along the tongue, and across the heel feature scale patterns don in “Dusty Cactus.” A similar tone has appeared on other special pairs prepped for the occasion, most notably the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Year of the Dragon” expected to release in late January 2024. Hits of blue also animate parts of the premium Nike Dunk, but the deep red contrast found throughout the upper plays into the zodiacal calendar more.

Aforementioned “Just Do It” text sees its letter “D” stylized as a dragon. The insoles dance with an array of colors mimicking the first lights of dawn, paired with whimsical cloud illustrations, adding a layer of narrative to the sneaker’s cultural homage. This festive storytelling extends to the lace dubrae, cradling a dragon’s claw within its intricate design, further solidifying its place in the “Year of the Dragon” collection. Together, each component makes for an arrangement worthy of the Year of the Dragon celebration.

Are dunks or SB dunks more comfortable?

Are Dunks Or SB Dunks More Comfortable? An older SB Dunk can be more comfortable than a regular (non-SB) Dunk. Modern Dunk and SB Dunk releases tend to be stiffer right out of the box. As such, modern regular Dunks are more accommodating than their SB counterparts

Dunk vs SB Dunk: What’s the Difference Between the Sneakers?

The most noticeable difference between the two sneakers are their tongues. On the Nike Dunk, you get a slim, mesh tongue. On the SB Dunk, the tongue has been beefed up to provide more cushion and protection. By being thicker, the tongue helps with the fit as well. It enables the sneaker to mold to your feet, preventing any slipping or wiggling. The tongue is held down with elastic straps which provide an added layer of lockdown. As a bonus, it allows you to slip the SB Dunk on and off without having to mess with finicky laces.
