Description
Just like the Kobe 1 Protro, the Kobe 4 Protro will come with the OG look but new materials and technology making it lighter and more comfortable than the original.
The shoe features a White upper with Blue and Purple accents as a nod to Kobe Bryant originally being drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in 1996 before getting traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The colorway is completed thanks to Kobe Bryant‘s signature logo on the tongue and ”6.26.96” stitched on the heel as an ode to the day Bryant donned the traditional draft cap.
True to its Protro moniker, this performance retro is updated from the original 2009 construction. Enhanced to include adjusted vamp shaping, a leaner heel, wider outsole traction and, to the great pleasure of many, a full-length Zoom Air unit. Designed with the latest technology, it offers great comfort and support, making it suitable for intense gameplay. Step onto the court with confidence and style with the Nike Zoom Kobe 4 Protro Draft Day.
About Kobe 4 Protro:
The Protro edition of the Kobe 4 is nearly identical to the original. The Kobe 4s worn by Luka were a “Protro” version, which slimmed the heel shape and increased the range of the traction. The heel Zoom Air and soft phylon foam remained in the cushioning, providing lightweight bounce when landing on the heel. The upper features synthetic leather uppers, with Flywire panels in the midfoot for added lockdown. It’s a bit softer in the brand-new iteration thus giving a slightly softer feel under-foot.
Why are Kobe shoes so good?
Compared to other Nike signature shoes, the line designed for Kobe has always focused on sports performance rather than the aesthetics of Instagram or endorsements of rappers. Since Bryant switched from adidas to Nike in 2003, his signature shoes have become synonymous with performance and attention to detail
