Description
The adidas FYW Intimidation, which was briefly revived back in 2020, should feel familiar to fans of the Yeezy 500, as the latter borrowed the sole unit from the ’90s trainer. Above, though, the design is far and away distinct, boasting a language akin to the greater FYW ethos.
On this pair, you can clearly see the wavy outsole from the shoe’s side profile, its high raises providing support in combination with the TPU ribcage on the sidewall. Faded burgundy suedes make up the collars and also sit adjacent to stealthy tongues and yellow Three Stripe branding. The tongues are dyed in solid black while a pop of yellow pokes out through its collar adidas logo. Mini adidas branding can also be found littered throughout, a contrasting mix of blue and yellow that can be found of shoes.
The heavy set of rope laces and breathable mesh underlays grounds the shoe in its basketball roots, while the muted Slate and Burgundy midsole lends to wear on-and-off the court. This pairs are equipped with adiPrene cushioning units that mimic the shape of the adidas YEEZY 500.
